I was on a roll this morning, working on the string pieced border for the latest version of Stripes, when the Janome chugged, struggled, and stopped working.
So here she sits, waiting to go to the shop for what I hope will be a very quick repair.
Thank goodness I have a spare...although without my automatic thread cutter and quarter inch foot, I will not be zipping along quite as quickly as I had been.

Oh no!!! What a bummer. As for using the featherweight....just get out a stack of post-its and stick them at you 1/4" and get out your little snippers and you will start plugging along again.
Good idea. Heading that way right now!
