Is it 3 now….or 4?
About Me
- Sharon
- I'm a quilting, knitting, sewing, cooking, reading, gardening nut who can never find enough hours in the day to get it all done. Then again, getting it all done is out-of-the question. I'm too easily distracted.

A Sunny Monday Morning
Last weeks discovery of a robin's nest with 4 eggs….
Has become a nest with 2 eggs and 2 hatchlings!
A little spring cleaning in my sewing room turned up one of my little trading cards from 2005…
And some sewing time last Friday allowed me to make progress on a Quilt As I Go project that has been languishing on my design wall for far too long….
I have all my sections very simply quilted with straight lines, so now I get to get started on joining my sections into rows.
That's it for now. Lots of projects and chores waiting for me…..

Sunless Spring…..
It's done nothing but rain here for days…and you would think I would be spending my time sewing, but I'm not.
I keep darting outside between raindrops to work / play in the garden.
Today I ran to Home Depot (in the rain) to get several bags of topsoil to fill in some low spots that have become low spots because of the torrential downpours we have experienced.
After I loaded, unloaded, and spread the dirt (all while it rained) I changed into dry clothes and ran back out…(yes, into the rain again) to snap some quick pictures.
The first lilac blooms…..
Hosta and Columbine
Hosta and Poppy…and my little gargoyle…all waiting for some sunshine!
However…..they will all have to wait quite awhile…there isn't anything other than rain predicted for quite a few more days……

Mother's Day
I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day…I sure did.
Mine started out with flowers from my man….
And a shiny new Mower!
Don't be getting all jealous about the fact that this sweet, sweet machine matches my car.
It's all about choices, chicks. Choices.
After breakfast with the family, Made by The Family, my friend Claudette and I hit the road and went to the Birmingham Art Fair, where I snagged this poppy print by Kim Rhoney :(http://www.kimrhoney.blogspot.com)
And this ceramic wall pocket by Bradley Gallery:
I saw some absolutely beautiful pieces at the art show and encountered some very talented people.
I came home excited and inspired. I hope I can put that inspiration to good use!
