So my morning started out great when I read that Bonnie Hunter was doing Quilt Cam tonight.
I didn't get a chance to do any sewing at all for the last few days…so this was my chance AND my reason to set time aside and spend a little quality time in front of my machine.
So I pulled out this little quilt that has been waiting to be quilted for about 2 years now.
Yes. 2 Years.
(My head is hanging in shame….)
So at 9pm, I fired up my computer, threaded my machine, and got to work.
I just started stitching…with no real plan. Just lots of straight line quilting…..
And I was having a great time, feeling really good about attacking one of my UFO's…..
(A good friend would ignore those points not lining up. I'm just saying.)
When I flipped the quilt over and saw this.
Ugh….
The back had flipped over itself and I had stitched into it.
So now, I need to decide if I will rip that stitching out and start over, of if I will just trim that away and continue on.
If you know me, well, you know which way I am leaning.

This friend doesn't remember ever seeing this quilt top before. I love it and I love the quilting you're doing on it.
Thanks Nancy!
Ah...what points? :D I haven't seen this quilt top either. Where have you been hiding it? As for the back...I personally would cut it out and the threads under the stitching would fray out. been there and done that. That is, of course, if you don't need that flap.
No, I do not need that flap, Faye, and that is what I think I will do.
Live and learn…..
I want to know why you are using you DSM rather than you LAM?
Faye, I have had this quilt spray basted and ready to quilt for over a year now…That's why I did it on my Janome vs the long arm!
I may need a version of this in shades of gray and pop of color.............
Pick your POP, Elle.
