About Me

My photo
I'm a quilting, knitting, sewing, cooking, reading, gardening nut who can never find enough hours in the day to get it all done. Then again, getting it all done is out-of-the question. I'm too easily distracted.

Sewing at The Harbor Star

My friend Nancy and I are in mid- Michigan, sewing away at our favorite retreat house.
She is busy finishing projects up....I decided to start some new things.....
The first is a yellow and grey chevron quilt.  I got the fabric about 9 months ago at Guildcrafters in Berkley, Mi.

The grey photographs darker than it really is....the overhead fluorescent
lighting really tweaks colors in an unpleasant way.

This little courthouse step log cabin is 4.5" square and is an experiment
using some of my thrifted shirt fabric.  There are 29 pieces in this block,
so at this rate I will never, ever run out of my stash of blues and whites!

I love what you did....but...is that it? I want to see more!!! I am so jealous (now that I am home and not in the hospital) that I didn't get to go with you gals. Can't wait to see all your progress in person.

I only had my phone with me…but I'll get out my camera and start experimenting.
Thanks for that hint, btw...
